You need fats (one of the essential macronutrients) in your regular diet for your body to work properly. 20 percent of total daily calories should be obtained from fats. Transfats or saturated fats should be avoided as much as you can.
If you take too much transfats and saturated fats then it’s for sure you will land in the doctor’s office with heart and cholesterol problems. Focus primarily on eating heart-healthy unsaturated fats. Monounsaturated fats can reduce bad cholesterol and considerably reduce total cholesterol. Some of the good sources are raw nuts, nut butters, olives, olive oil, avocados, safflower oil, peanut oil and canola oil.
